Reunion by: John Cheever

The story Reunion by John Cheever is about a boy named Charlie, who saw his father for the last time in New York. On his way to Adirondacks, Charlie decides to stop at New York to have lunch with his father while he waits for his train. Charlie was really excited to meet his father after three years. Charlie judged his father well by his  physical appearance. Charlie and his father were not able to finish their meals because of his father's rude behavior with the waiter. Even at their fourth restaurant "Buon giorno" his father disrespected the waiter. Charlies father was sorry because they were not able to eat their lunch. When Charlie had to leave, his father offered to buy a newspaper for Charlie to read on the train. The clerk at the newsstand did not sell his newspaper because his father was disrespectful to him. So Charlie left by saying good bye and that was his last time he saw his father at New York.
